Peak Venues buys Matlock property for £600,000

Peak Venues has bought Grade II listed Holly Bush Farm situated near the village of Matlock in a private sale.
The property, bought for £600,000, will undergo a £1.6m two-phase refurbishment into a self-catering, holiday accommodation.
The scheme will include a farm house, holiday cottage and four holiday lets. The development – set in an acre of land – is expected to sleep 35 people and will also be available for corporate events.
hlw Keeble Hawson represented Peak Venues.
Peak Venues founder, Justin Heslop, said: “Our rapid growth over the last decade is attributable to our commitment to give visitors the opportunity to enjoy the Peak District from the comfort of high end conversions. Property purchase within national parks can be a complicated process – which is why we once again called on the expertise of hlw Keeble Hawson’s commercial property solicitor, Clare Darwood.”
Richard Smith, partner and head of hlw Keeble Hawson’s commercial property team, added: “Peak Venues is a vibrant, niche business which is enjoying well deserved success and we value the opportunity to help further accelerate its expansion in the Peak District.”
Yorkshire Bank in Sheffield is providing £400,000 funding for Phase 1 and £600,000 funding for Phase 2 to renovate the property to the high specification that Peak Venues is renowned for.
The refurbishment is expected to take approximately 12 months to complete and the property will be available to hire out by the summer of 2017.
