A Derby creative agency, Matchstick Design has merged with marketing services agency Sine Qua Non International (SQN), one of its long-standing clients.

The two companies have collaborated since 2009 on an array of projects for clients within the sports, automotive and technology sectors, including Toyota, Hyundai, Williams, Cosworth and Lexar.

“2017 is going to be an exciting year,” said Matchstick founder Laura Faulkner. “We are thrilled to be moving forward as part of an extended SQN team and hope that our existing clients will benefit from the expanded range of marketing services that we can now offer them. We are proud to continue having our offices in Derby, and to play such an important part in the growth of SQN.”

SQN’s Derby office, based in Sadler Bridge Studios, will become a new hub for the merged agency.

“I am delighted that Matchstick Design has become part of Sine Qua Non International after many years of successful and innovative collaboration with Laura and her highly skilled team,” said SQN’s CEO Claire Ritchie.

“It is the logical step for SQN at an exciting period of growth for our company. We have just celebrated our 15th anniversary and have already got 2017 off to a flying start. Adding Matchstick’s skillsets to our existing strengths in marketing, sponsorship and PR will enable us to offer deeper value around range of digital, creative and design as we support existing and new clients as they seek to improve results and ROI.”
