On the move: the latest East Midlands hires

Derby-based specialist IT and digital recruitment consultancy, Xpertise Recruitment has appointed Andrea Blair as marketing manager.
Originally from Nottingham, Blair has returned to her East Midlands roots after spending the past two years working in a senior marketing position with global recruitment firm Robert Walters in Sydney, Australia.
Xpertise managing director, Richard Harrison said: “Xpertise has experienced significant growth in the past four years and appointing our first marketing manager is the next big step to drive the brand out into the specialist IT and digital recruitment market.
“Our main focus at Xpertise has always been about caring about our candidates’ careers, and matching the best skilled individuals with our clients’ objectives.
“Andrea’s expertise will greatly enhance the quality of our communications and relationship building to deliver that added value to our work with both candidates and clients.”
A Derby-based initiative, e4e, which links businesses with schools and students in order to raise aspirations and improve employability skills, has expanded its team in order to handle increasing demand for its services from schools across the city.
Paul Makinson and Tracy Goold have joined the team as deputy brokers and are joined by James Wakefield, who has been appointed project co-ordinator.
Councillor Sarah Russell, cabinet member for education and skills at Derby City Council, said: “I’m delighted to welcome Paul, Tracey and James to the busy e4e team. Their experience and knowledge of both the education sector and STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) will be invaluable as we continue to expand the range of services that e4e offers.”
