Double appointment for Mazars corporate finance team

The East Midlands offices of accountancy firm Mazars has made two hires to its corporate finance team.

Paul Pownall joins the team as corporate finance manager and brings over 25 years’ experience to the role having worked as the director of Business development at Santander Corporate Bank and for accountancy firm, Tenon, heading up business development across the East Midlands for ten years prior to that.

Pownall also completed 15 years in business and corporate banking with Natwest.

He said: “Having worked with the local partner team during my time at Tenon, I already knew first-hand what a great team there was at Mazars. Mazars has an established presence in the local Corporate Finance Market and they are currently enjoying record levels of project mandates.”

Meanwhile, Line Gauteplass joins the team as corporate finance senior after working as an analyst for BNP Paribas in London in its Fixed Income department.

During her time at BNP Paribas, Line worked with the credit trading business with a main focus on the primary market and was also made a London Branch Junior Board Member.
