Restaurateur set to deliver new food to Derby

A new restaurant is set to open in Derby after a deal was struck to turn the former Post Office building on Victoria Street into an eatery.

The building has been let to The Post House Derby in a deal brokered by Darran Severn at FHP.

The Post House Derby is due to open in May and will serve local artisan and organic food.

Jade Devall, managing director of The Post House Derby, said: “This building is the perfect opportunity for our business which we have been planning for a while now.

“With its industrial features and heritage it makes the perfect place for our restaurant and bar. Derby
needs a very different take on food and drink and we will be bringing together eight of the very best local independent companies from around the East Midlands.”

Darran Severn from FHP Property Consultants said: “The leisure scene in Derby has evolved over the last 18 months with a good mix of national and independent operators opening within the city centre. We are continually speaking with other bar and restaurant operators but there are fewer well placed opportunities available.”
