Notts pub company enters administration
A Nottinghamshire pub operator has entered administration – closing its two pubs in the county.
Ridge and Furrow Inns, which runs the The Lambley in the village of Lambley and the Wilford Green in Wilford, Nottingham, has called in administrators to look after the day-to-day running of the business.
The pubs, which are run by Ridge and Furrow, are owned by Star Pubs & Bars. A spokesperson for the company said: “We are working hard to ensure The Lambley and The Wilford Green reopen as soon as possible.”
Ridge & Furrow Inns was set up in 2011 and is run by director Scott Whittaker, who reportedly spent £385,000 refurbishing The Lambley in 2014, having taken on the Wilford Green two years previously.
In its latest available accounts to 30 November 2015, Ridge & Furrow owed almost £100,000 to creditors.
