100 jobs to be created at Derbyshire firm

EnergySave employed 300 people at its height

A Derbyshire firm says it is set to take on a further 100 staff at its offices in Spondon and Ilkeston – and is eyeing a move into the West Midlands.

Energy Save is now recruiting call centre staff, surveyors, sales and customer service representatives.

Energy Save specialises in wall insulation, coating systems, double glazing and conservatories, all aimed at reducing customers’ energy costs. Managing director Jason Rowan began the business three years ago after starting out selling ironing board covers on Ilkeston market.

He said: “It has been a phenomenal 12 months for the firm. We opened our new head office in Ilkeston, had a huge jobs drive, and it is now time to open the doors to even more employees joining the firm.”

Rowan says the firm is also looking at premises in Birmingham which could see a new base created there at the end of the summer.

Sales director at the firm, Craig Morris, said: “There are many firms out there who are trying to expand as quickly as Energy Save, but the key is treating your staff well. These job vacancies come just in time for our summer incentives, which will include trips to New York, Paris, Rome and Barcelona.

“We are working in an industry that became dormant and we are the new breed of company. This latest move is great for the local community and the amount of jobs being created is staggering.”
