100 jobs at risk as Leicester finance firm enters administration

A Leicester vehicle finance firm which has lent over £56m to its customers has slipped into administration.

Vehicle Trading Group, which traded as Vehicle Credit, has called in administratiors from Grant Thornton’s Birminghamd and Manchester offices.

Vehicle Credit Limited was set up in 2012 to lend to customers who could not find traditional vehicle finance from mainstream lenders.

The firm is based at The Osiers Business Park in Leicester and employs more than 100 people who are office- and field-based.

In its last available accounts, made up to March 31 2015, Vehicle Trading Group, owed £4.35m to creditors and had assets of £293,011.

The firm’s directors are named as Peter Aratoon and Maurice Dibbs.
