On the move: the latest East Midlands hires
Law firm Browne Jacobson has promoted five people to partner in its Nottingham office.
Sarah Hooton (Employment), Leanne Wareham (Commercial Health), Stephanie McGarry (Government, Regulatory & Advocacy), Gabor Taller (Property – Social Housing), Suki Tonks (Property – Retail) and Leah Jones (Social Care) make the step up.

Independent financial adviser John Stanley has joined Nelsons Solicitors as a partner, heading the firm’s
specialist investment management team.
Stanley has more than 25 years’ experience of providing financial advice to clients while at law firm Freeths and Lloyds Bank.
He said: “I am pleased to have joined such an established firm and be part of its future growth. The investment management team at Nelsons has notably expanded over the past three years and now forms a significant part of the firm’s offering to clients. I am looking forward to building on its success and bringing my expertise and industry knowledge to the firm to help grow the client base still further.”
Stanley joins Nelsons from Freeths where he was based for more than 22 years as head of its financial services company Meritor Financial Management.
