Nationwide Windscreen Services has relocated from Quorn to Birstall after buying new build premises for its head office operations.

The firm landed a £380,000 loan from Royal Bank of Scotland to help towards the purchase price of £545,000.

Nationwide Windscreens previously rented its premises, but this move allows them to own outright this two-storey property based at Interchange, Birstall.

The new head office will house the firm’s 20 head office staff as well as give it headroom for further growth. Nationwide Windscreens says it will increase its admin and deployment roles by 20% by the end of 2017.

Established in 2006, Nationwide Windscreens acts as an umbrella organisation for over 80 glass repair and replacement depots, operating ove 400 mobile fitting vans and working in partnership with over 500 staff across the UK through contract wins. This £14m turnover business started as a local windscreen company and has rapidly grown by securing large contracts with major insurance and fleet companies.

Stuart Sole, director of Nationwide Windscreens Services, said: “Owning our own premises was always part of the plan and the location and building more than ticks all the boxes. It provides minimal disruption to our staff, having relocated less than five miles down the road, and provides us with the capacity to grow the business even further and create more local jobs. We are grateful to Royal Bank of Scotland for allowing us this opportunity.”

Andy Edwards, senior relationship manager at Royal Bank of Scotland, said: “Knowing Stuart and the team well, we always knew that acquiring their own premises was part of their game plan, it was just a question of when the time was right. We are delighted to assist with this latest move allowing this thriving company to continue its success story from its new head office base.”
