On the move: the latest East Midlands hires

Langleys Solicitors is retaining all five of its trainees who will join the firm’s legal teams when they qualify in September.

Charlotte Levy and David Maclaurin are due to qualify into Langleys’ insurance division, Emily Jones will join the commercial litigation team and Laura Colling will qualify into private client.

Debra Jackson has already qualified and joined Langleys’ family unit.

David Thompson, managing partner at Langleys, said: “We are very pleased to welcome all five of our trainees to the firm and its specialist teams. Each of them has demonstrated the skills and commitment required to contribute to the high standards of service Langleys provides to its clients.

“We wish them well as they qualify and formally start their careers in the legal profession.”

Rachel Harvey

Law firm Shakespeare Martineau has added to its Brexit taskforce with the appointment of two business immigration specialists, Tijen Ahmet and Rachel Harvey.

Ahmet makes the move from London/Hertfordshire-based SA Law following a three-year stint as head of immigration while Harvey joins after 10 years with East Midlands-based Cartwright King.

Ahmet will be supporting the existing Brexit team and clients from the West Midlands to the south and Harvey will cover the north and East Midlands.
