Paragon lands biggest-ever Specsavers job

Nottingham-based commercial interiors firm Paragon has been appointed to fit-out Specsavers’ largest UK store at Idlewells Shopping Centre, Sutton in Ashfield.

The store’s refurbishment will see it double its size, from 5,230 sq ft to 10,720 sq ft, including a new lower floor, which will consist of a lab, call centre and training room, to host the store’s own academy.

Paragon has long history of working with Specsavers.

It was part of the project team that relocated Specsavers to NG2 Business Park’s Cirrus House office in 2008, which now employs around 400 staff and has since worked on 81 other projects for the group.

Paragon chief executive Gary Perry said: “Our commitment to delivering exceptional projects with Specsavers goes back almost a decade and both companies have a shared passion for delivering exceptional outcomes for our customers.

“This partnership has taken us all over the country, working on a wide range of projects but this latest one, their largest UK store, is very satisfying as it so local. It is great news for local jobs and the latest exciting chapter in our story with this exceptional company.”
