£13.5m Leicestershire estate up for sale

Carter Jonas is selling Leicestershire residential and investment asset the Shackerstone Estate.

The 1,738-acre Estate is up for sale with a guide price of £13.5m and an annual income in excess of £250,000.

Available for sale by private treaty in two separate lots, or as a whole, the Shackerstone Estate, forms part the former Gopsall Estate is occupied under a mixture of Agricultural Holdings Act Tenancies and short term Farm Business Tenancies with the land having been used previously to grow a variety of crops, including wheat, barley, oilseed rape and grass.

Before the estate was launched to the market, 17 long standing farm tenants from the Gopsall Estate were offered the opportunity to purchase their farm holdings – 15 tenants farmers have now bought their farms with most sales agreed in the first quarter of 2017.
