Nottingham station pub gets green light

A new micropub at Nottingham railway station has taken another step closer after Nottingham City Council gave the go-ahead for internal fit-out works to the building.

BeerHeadZ, which has pubs in Grantham and Retford, will open The Cabman’s Shelter in a Grade 2 Listed timber building just outside Nottingham railway station, next to the British Transport Police Station.

An East Midlands Trains spokesperson said: “We’re always looking to improve the facilities we offer our customers at stations.

“We’re therefore really excited to be working with BeerHeadZ on the possibility of them opening up at Nottingham station.”

BeerHeadZ Grantham recently won the CAMRA Town Pub of the Year Award.
