On the move: the latest East Midlands hires

Ash Dhindsa

Nottingham PR agency Cartwright Communications has hired Ash Dhindsa as account manager.

Dhindsa brings five years’ PR experience to Cartwright, which now has a total of 22 PR professionals, ex-journalists and digital specialists.

Dhindsa has had spells with Papillon in Derbyshire and Birmingham-based Smarts Illuminate.

He said: “I am thrilled to have joined Cartwright at such an exciting time as the business continues to expand and has celebrated a number of recent account wins.

“I’m really looking forward to using my experience to date to deliver some fantastic results for both clients and the company, alongside working with a great selection of colleagues. One of the things which attracted me to Cartwright is the diversity of the team, mixture of skillsets and the highly talented team of PR professionals.”

Cartwright managing director Liz Cartwright said: “’I am delighted to welcome Ash to our team. Ash brings with him a wealth of experience, in both B2B and B2C environments, in a variety of sectors which will help boost our client offering and internal expertise.”

Sean Price has joined Derby social media agency Frix Media as mentor and investor.

Dimitri Frixou, managing director, said: “Sean came on board to help with the initial strategy of Frix Media where we started again at almost ground zero after losing a number of clients,

“Since Sean has joined we have enjoyed consistent growth in terms of client development and our reputation.

“Frix Media really has gone from last year being the feeelance videographer to an actual real scalable Social agency servicing some big accounts,

My initial strategy was work with as many businesses as possible with any budget. I quickly found this was not a pleasant experience working with mini budgets having the clients expect the world from you.

“In the last six month period we have worked with some big brands such as NK Motors Kia, Harley Davidson, Licor 43 and LaCie.

“Given the opportunity to work with the largest Kia dealership in the UK our content marketing work was recognised by Kia’s head office and it is now used to train in house marketing teams around the UK.”
