Airport warns of M1 closures

East Midlands Airport is advising travellers to allow extra time to get to their check-ins because of a series of road closures this week.

As holidaymakers jet off for their summer vacations, the airport has issued a warning to customers about closures on the M1.

A statement from the Airport said: “If you are commuting to and from the airport between 9pm and 6am over the next few weeks, please be advised of the following road closures, due to roadworks and road repairs:
Tuesday 31st July

M1 Northbound Carriage-Way closed between J23a and 24
M1 Northbound J23a entry slip closed
M1 Southbound J25 entry slip closed

Wednesday 1st August

M1 Northbound Carriage-Way closed between J23a and 24
M1 Northbound J23a entry slip closed
M1 Southbound Carriage-Way closed between J24 and 23a
M1 Southbound J24a entry slip closed
M1 Southbound J24 entry slip closed
M1 Northbound J25 exit slip closed
M1 Southbound J25 entry slip closed

Thursday 2nd August
