Triumph Motorcycles owner revs up with £6m windfall

Profits a Leicestershire-based Triump Motorcycles have dropped by more than 60%, according to newly-filed accounts.
Profits fell from £24.7m to £9m for the year-ending June 30.
Meanwhile, the Daily Mail reports that Triumph owner John Bloor paid himself a £6m dividend from the business. Bloor is the sole shareholder of Bloor Investments. He rescued Triumph from bankruptcy in the 1980s.
Profits at Bloor Investments stood at £188m.
Triumph employs nearly 2,400 people.
