Nottingham company swoops for Yorkshire counterpart to form £8m firm

CemTeal, the parent company of Nottingham-based CEM Press, has bought Travelfast, which trades as Sampling International.

The deal will create a pattern book and shade card making firm with turnover of £8m.

CEM Press has been based in Nottingham since its incorporation in 1962. Sampling International, based in Batley, has 40 years’ experience in the pattern book, shade card and flooring sectors.

The deal gives CEM Press Limited and Sampling International two production facilities, in Nottingham and Batley, meaning the group has the sector’s largest manufacturing capacity in the UK

Stephen Hubbard, managing director of the newly-formed group, said: “I am extremely excited by the opportunities that the combined business will present. Our joint expertise, knowledge and production facilities will enable us to offer a level of service we do not believe to be offered elsewhere.”
