On the move: the latest East Midlands hires

Ian Roberts hands over the President's Medal to incoming Nottingham City Business Club president Richard Cooper

Richard Cooper, a chartered financial planner with LEBC Group, has been elected as the new president of the Nottingham City Business Club (NCBC) at the club’s recent AGM.

He takes over from Ian Roberts, director of Nottingham Physio, who has been the club’s president for the past year.

Cooper said: “I am very proud to have been elected as president of Nottingham City Business Club and look forward to continuing to build the profile of the club and strengthening the business relationships between our members and with other Nottingham businesses over the coming year.”

Charlotte Moreland who is managing director of training providers NHTA, has been elected as vice-president. James Simmonds, a partner at the Nottingham office of chartered accountants, UHY Hacker Young has been re-elected as treasurer and Deborah Labbate, a business adviser, was re-elected as secretary.

Pressac Communications, Nottingham based manufacturer of smart sensor technology, has expanded its team with six new appointments at its Glaisdale Drive precision manufacturing facility, as part of an ongoing recruitment drive.

The new hires include Paul Mallinson as electronic assembly process engineer, Adam Bruce as process & development engineer, Keith Smith as industrial engineer, Clare Leek as marketing manager, Gerrit Willemsen as sales administration and export manager and Jan Tyszka as customer logistics coordinator.

Peter Burbidge, managing director at Pressac, said: “It is a very exciting time for us at Pressac and we are extremely pleased to welcome all our new team members. As a manufacturing business we have diversified our offer from mass production of Telecoms Network points and automotive parts into developing smart building sensor technology solutions. With our new hires we are strengthening our team to support the roll out of several new products and services over the coming months, as well as meeting the needs of our current and future customers.
