Nottingham hotel calls in administrators

Inside Hashtag's Nottingham hotel

Administrators have been called in at a Nottingham hotel which had promised to be “more than prepared to compete in the hotel industry”.

Hashtag Hotels, a national chain which has a venue at Bromley Place in Nottingham city centre, has called in administrators from Leonard Curtis after staff had reportedly not been paid “for weeks”.

The chain has 17 sites across the UK. Business Live says staff were told yesterday (28 August) that they were being made redundant.

According to its website, Hashtag was set up by Nash Cohen and Simon Gilbert, who had “become frustrated with existing Hotels that were built on archaic technology and systems which lead to poor customer service and a laborious customer experience”.
