Cloud provider, PeaSoup Hosting, has expanded to deliver its service from a new, environmentally-friendly data centre in Lincoln, after receiving a £108,000 deal from HSBC UK.

A key element of this expansion has been the partnership with coolDC®, which received a European Code of Conduct for Data Centres Energy Efficiency Award (CEEDA) for the design of the Lincoln data centre, becoming one of only 19 data centres globally to hold CEEDA Gold status.

Martin Bradburn, chief exexcutive of PeaSoup Hosting, said: “The funding from HSBC UK has had a significant impact on our business, allowing us to open another UK site with state-of-the-art technologies and excellent environmental credentials. We are an ambitious company, constantly striving to drive innovation in our field and, with the addition of immersed computing, adding full site resilience will bolster our reputation as we strive for year-on-year our growth.”

Craig Canning, area director of Business Banking in the South East, said: “We’re delighted our funding has enabled PeaSoup Hosting to utilise innovative and super ecological data centres that will undoubtedly help it to achieve its future growth plans by offering new and improved services and solutions to its clients.”
