£1.2m sports and community centre set to open in Leicestershire

A £1.2 million community and sports centre has been completed in the Leicestershire town of Wigston.

G F Tomlinson began work on Thythorn Hill Community and Sports Centre in November last year and completed the project at the end of August. The centre is expected to open imminently.

The building comprises changing facilities for local sports clubs, a pre-school nursery and a new meeting room and main hall.

It is an important hub within the region and the new and improved building will positively benefit a vast range of groups and teams within the area.

G F Tomlinson secured the construction contract for the project through the DPS PAGABO framework for client Oadby and Wigston Borough Council. Faithful and Gould acted as employer’s agent.
