On the move: the latest East Midlands hires

Samantha Wilde

Retail Assist, the Nottingham-based managed services and solutions company, has hired a new service delivery lead.

Samantha Wilde will lead a team of call analysts on Retail Assist’s help desk.

She said: “My main focus is to develop, support and guide my team towards doing the best possible job for our clients.

“By far the best thing about working for Retail Assist is the people. I have met some exceptionally talented people and every colleague I have interacted with since I started has been welcoming, friendly and extremely helpful. Teamwork on the help desk is essential, and I am very lucky to be part of a team filled with a diverse range in experience, nationalities, skills sets and backgrounds.”

Tina Hand, Retail Assist’s head of systems support, added: “I am delighted to welcome Samantha as our new service delivery lead. Having previously worked in a contact centre environment as a customer service manager, she brings with her over a decade of experience and is an asset to our team.

“Samantha is a creative and passionate manager, who leads by example and keeps calm under pressure. She has already made an impressive start and I look forward to our continued work together.”

Elsewhere, housebuilder Harron Homes has appointed a former estate agent to act as sales executive at its Forest Reach development near Mansfield.

Lorret Cook began her career as an estate agent at the age of 19, and has spent much of her working life in the profession.

Prior to joining Harron she held a sales executive role with another housebuilder.

She said: “The main reason that I decided to make the career move was to gain greater independence by working on site.

“Being an estate agent was incredibly fast-paced and intense, and while working as a sales executive is no different to this, it comes with a greater sense of responsibility because you are effectively the face of the development and will remain the purchaser’s main contact with Harron, even after they move in.

“My job with Harron allows me to enjoy what it was that first attracted me to the property industry – helping people to find their perfect home.

“As an employer, the company appealed to me as I had already heard of them and gained a good understanding of how they operate, and I felt that this would be the ideal fit for me.”
