Security business snaps up rival

East Midlands-based security provider Foremost Security has completed its takeover of a Nottingham counterpart.

The business, which provides security guarding and industrial security services, has secured 80 per cent of Cerberus Facilities Management’s clients.

The takeover will develop Foremost’s market share across the city.

Foremost has already seen its client base grow significantly, with the firm recently picking up work with Enva Waste Management, J McCann and Sat Bains.

Ben Spencer, who was director of operations at Cerberus Facilities Management, said: “As a security solutions provider with over 20 years’ experience, we’re absolutely delighted to trust and hand over to Foremost. We know they’re always thinking of their clients’ futures and those who were previously with us, will be in very safe hands.

“Building relationships is just one key aspect of Foremost’s success. They have also showed their innovative side previously, when in 2018 they launched an app that allows mobile patrols to efficiently record and report any suspicious activity taking place at a client’s premises.”

Matt Prince, sales and marketing director at Foremost Security, added: “The takeover was very smooth and really without any issues or concerns. We’re really pleased with how quickly we were able to move things forward. We are working with some very big national and international customers and have had some very interesting conversations about the working relationship moving forward with the potential of additional security work starting on the back of what we now provide.”

As a result of the deal, the company is now able to provide 4000 hours of manned guarding per week.
