Club seeks stakeholders’ views on £100m stadium plans

How the new Peter Taylor stand could look

Nottingham Forest FC’s stadium redevelopment plans have taken another step forward.

Following last week’s announcement of a public exhibition, the club is now inviting supporters, local residents and businesses to submit their thoughts and opinions on the proposals.

The plans, which gathered pace in June after Nottingham City Council granted the club a new 250-year lease on the stadium, would see the Peter Taylor Stand expanded by 6,000 seats. A museum, a new club shop, hospitality lounges and restaurants and new executive boxes would also be added.

The club intends to increase the overall capacity of the City Ground to 36,000 and is looking to submit a planning application before the year is out.

As previously reported by TheBusinessDesk.com, the £100 million plans would also involve the construction of two blocks of 250 apartments outside the ground.

Now the club wants to hear what a variety of stakeholders think about the proposals before it submits its application.

Building work could begin during the first half of 2020 if the plans are given the green light.
