Collision closes M1 in Nottinghamshire
The M1 in Nottinghamshire is currently closed southbound between J27 (Langley Mill) and J26 (Nottingham) due to a collision.
Nottinghamshire Police and East Midlands Ambulance Service are on scene and lead the response to this incident. Highways England has resources heading to the incident to assist with traffic management.
Diversions are in place via the hollow square diversion symbol, the guidance is as follows:
At M1 Junction 27, exit onto the A608 and head south-west for approximately 2.5km. Take the B600 and continue south-east for 8.6km. At the Nuthall roundabout, head west on the A610 to rejoin the M1 at Junction 26.
For traffic approaching the delays locally, you are advised to expect disruption with extra journey time and you may wish to re-route or delay your journey.
If travelling towards this area from much farther afield, delay information will remain visible on our on-road variable message signs until delays have cleared.
