Agents bag major warehouse gig

Saint-Gobain has appointed Knight Frank and JLL to market 140,646 sq ft of warehouse space in North Nottinghamshire
The high bay industrial distribution unit is part of Manton Wood Enterprise Park in Worksop. Occupiers include B&Q, Wilkos, DHL, WS Transport and Greencore.
Rebecca Schofield, partner and head of Knight Frank’s Yorkshire Industrial team, said: “The fitted nature of the premises, and the attractive passing rent, is likely to prove attractive to the occupational market, especially the 3PL sector where fitted buildings are sought.’’
James Keeton of JLL added: “Manton 140 offers a prime strategic location combined with immediate availability, boosted by being highly specified with good yard and parking provision. A rare commodity in the current market and one that we have already seen strong early interest.”
Warehousing of this type is increasingly being used by occupiers servicing online retail needs. The value of internet retail totalled £15.7 billion in 2018 – 18 per cent of UK retail market. This is up from £3.2 billion, which equated to just under five per cent of the retail market in 2018.
