On the move: the latest East Midlands hires

Cambridge & Counties Bank has appointed a new chief risk officer.

Mike Hudson replaces interim CRO Andrew Shiels and will report to CEO Mike Kirsopp.

Hudson, who brings over 35 years’ experience in financial services to the specialist lender, previously worked for private banking and wealth management firm Brown Shipley & Co.

In his new role, he will be responsible for the management and oversight of Cambridge & Counties’ risk and control framework, which includes helping the bank meet its regulatory obligations.

He said: “I’m absolutely delighted to be joining Cambridge & Counties Bank. The institution is highly respected in the banking sector, among clients and a host of other stakeholders, and I look forward to building on, and supporting, the great momentum it has in its markets.”

Elsewhere, digital agency Frogspark has announced two new hires.

Ellamae Monk and Luke Pickering have joined the growing firm’s web design and digital marketing teams respectively.

Monk previously worked for a marketing company in Belper before spending two years with a marketing agency.

She said: “From working in marketing agencies around Derby, Frogspark has always been a company name that has stuck in my mind! From things I had seen on all the social channels, it looked like a vibrant, consistently-growing marketing company. And I can confirm it’s all true!”

Pickering, who joins the agency as a digital marketing apprentice, added: “[It was] definitely the dog, but also the office atmosphere [that attracted me to Frogspark]. When I saw the Frogspark vacancy online and saw the people and offices it was so different to anywhere else. It was nicely laid back, very fresh and modern.”

Frogspark, which has offices in Derby and Nottingham, has worked with the NHS, Google and SDL Group amongst others.
