Luxury residential development gets underway

A new development of 19 luxury houses near Market Bosworth is well underway, with the first plots set to go on sale this Spring.

Work has begun in earnest on the 10-acre Hornsey Rise scheme at Bosworth Road, Wellsborough, which is located on the site of the old Hornsey Rise Care Home, a specialist home for retired printers established in 1921.

A new access road has been created and the foundations for Phase One of the development have been completed.

The completed scheme will feature a mix of three, four and five bedroom homes plus a unique three-bedroom dwelling in the site’s former chapel.

Springbourne Homes chairman Adrian Burr said: “I was very excited when I acquired this idyllic site as I had a real vision of what it could become. I’m even more excited now that work has begun and our designs for the Hornsey Rise development are starting to emerge.

“It’s going to be a wonderful blend of luxury, quality homes within a landscape that screams location, location, location.

“We’ve had a lot of enquiries and interest already and the homes haven’t even gone up for sale yet! That just confirms what I always believed – that this will be one of the most sought-after developments in the region.”

A vandalised and desecrated War Memorial on the site will also be restored and re-sited in a new “Peace Garden” alongside the development.
