‘Unique and charming’ café changes hands after ten years

Halcyon Tea Rooms

The owners of a “unique and charming” café, restaurant and holiday apartment in Derbyshire have sold the business after a decade at the helm.

Halcyon Tea Rooms in Glossop, which has undergone extensive refurbishment over the years, has been sold to an aspirational first-time buyer in a deal overseen by Lancashire-based Kings Business.

The vendor offloaded the property after deciding to focus on other business interests.

Sophie Jakeman, lead negotiator for Kings Business, said: “I am happy a part exchange could be agreed so our clients could move forward with their future plans after completion.”

The new owners say the business will “continue to cater to its loyal client base.”
