On the move: the latest East Midlands hires
Nottingham-based Hockley Developments has appointed a new financial controller.
ACCA qualified accountant Paul Riordan joins the new-build specialists from HSKS Greenhalgh, where he worked as part of the Cobb Burgin team for 14 years.
He said: “I am really excited to be joining this ambitious company. I’m looking forward to working with the enthusiastic team and helping them achieve their goals.”
Hockley Developments managing director Alan Forsyth added: “We had a large number of applicants for this role, but Paul stood out with his experience and enthusiasm. We look forward to having him on board and joining our management team as we grow over the next few years.”
Elsewhere, Leicester student accommodation provider Sulets has appointed three new trustees to its Board, including a new chairman.
Paul Groves takes on the role of chair having amassed 30 years’ experience successfully building and growing businesses across the UK.
Richard Osborne, regional director of Excello Law, and Tim Matthews, who has held leadership positions at Wolseley UK, T.M. Lewin and Wickes, also join the Board.
CEO Irving Hill said: “In our aim to shift the business from a management model to an all-encompassing property developing, owning and management company, we needed the addition of crucial relevant skills to guide us as we aim to expand in Leicester.
“The skills that the three new members bring are not just property-based, but financial, legal and entrepreneurial as we look to grow our portfolio and provide more quality, affordable living to students in Leicester.”
