Leisure complex launches takeaway and delivery service to combat self-isolation

Hotel, golf and leisure complex, Morley Hayes, which last week won the Medium-Sized Business of the Year Award at the East Midlands Business Masters, has launched a takeaway and delivery service.

Although its Dovecote restaurant, Roosters and Spike bars remain open for business, owners Andrew and Robert Allsop have decided to launch the new services for customers who prefer to eat at home, including the over 70s and those in at risk groups who are currently following the government’s self-isolation guidelines.

The takeaway service launched on Thursday 19 March and will feature a selection of hot and cold dishes from the Roosters Bar and Restaurant menu.

The delivery service will be available from Monday 23 March and will be free of charge to those who live within a five-mile radius of the complex on Main Road in Morley, with a minimum spend of £20.

Andrew Allsop, managing director of Morley Hayes, said: “It’s an uncertain time for everyone at the moment. Whilst we remain open for business, we appreciate there will be large numbers of our regular customers who have been advised to self-isolate for an extended period of time and we want to do everything we can to help.

“The health, safety and well-being of our guests and staff remains our number one priority. All team members are following the latest Government, Public Health England (PHE) and World Health Organisation (WHO) advice and are maintaining the highest standards of hygiene across all our facilities.

“We have introduced greater space between tables and have hand sanitiser stations in place at all entrances to the Morley Hayes complex. All staff and customers will be expected to utilise these on entering and leaving the building.

“I would urge customers to continue to support local businesses and look after the most vulnerable in our communities during this difficult time.”
