Fast-growing care firm snaps up sixth site

Gables Manor

Nottingham-headquartered National Care Consortium has bought Gables Manor in Lincoln – which will offer care for 19 people, in a deal funded by Barclays.

Following five earlier acquisitions, also funded by Barclays, the company now owns six care homes based in Grimsby, Hull and Driffield.

Tanzeel Younas, director of National Care Consortium, said: “NCC are delighted to have added Gables Manor to its portfolio of homes. We have a strong track record of delivering high quality services and having met the team and residents personally, we are extremely excited to get to work.

“The team have done a fantastic job in achieving GOOD overall on their CQC inspection and we look to build on that so that we can deliver outstanding care and support for the residents of the home.

“We are really proud of the strategic direction of our family business. The Gables Manor acquisition will add to our existing Learning Disabilities (LD) and Younger People with Physical Disabilities homes. We have a real passion for delivering specialist services and have further acquisitions which will add two more LD homes to our group by December 2020. This will enable us to build a stronger network for our LD services and using our person centred approach, we hope to become the provider of choice.”

Alan Mele, relationship director at Barclays in Nottingham, said: “We have enjoyed a long standing relationship with the business spanning twenty years. Tanzeel and his family have many years’ experience in the industry and we are delighted to support them with this latest purchase which will add to their current portfolio of homes.”
