Charity partner revealed for East Midlands Leadership Awards is delighted to announce that Notts County Football in the Community has been named as the charity partner for our East Midlands Leadership Awards.

Nominations are now open for the Awards, which will take place on Thursday 5 November at the Crowne Plaza in Nottingham from midday onwards.

Formed in 1989, Notts County Football in the Community is a multi-award winning local community sports charity, which delivers a range of innovative programmes that provide life-changing opportunities for local people of all ages.

Its projects are focused on using sport and physical activity to promote increased health and wellbeing for some of the most disadvantaged and vulnerable people across Nottingham and Nottinghamshire. The charity has a proven track record of delivering a comprehensive range of high quality projects across five different program areas: Sports Development, Health, Inclusion, National Citizenship Service and Education. It also manages the Portland Leisure Centre in the Meadows area of Nottingham and deliver a variety of sports based projects from this site.

“Ever since our inception we have been passionate about working in partnership with the local business community to support our local community and we strongly believe that, by working together, we can achieve mutually beneficial outcomes for businesses, the charity and, most importantly, the beneficiaries.”
