New bar finally finds home in Derby

The Stonegate Pub Company is launching its delayed Hideout Bar in Derby city centre today.

The new bar, which promises to be “boredom-free” will open in the former Walkabout unit at 9-11 Market Square after weeks of uncertainty brough about the Covid-19 lockdown.

Hideout will include a speed-reaction wall, I-pool, a circular ping-pong table and an events programme.

David Hancock, general manager at The Hideout said: “We are so excited to finally be opening The Hideout. Whilst our launch is a little later than planned, and customers will have to wait a little longer to get the full Hideout experience, we’re looking forward to giving locals the first glimpse of our new venue, which we believe offers a blueprint of how pubs will evolve in years to come. We can’t wait to see the reaction.”
