Former head of crime goes it alone

The former head of crime at national law firm Cartwright King has set up his own practice in Nottingham.
Paul Wright has established Wright Law, which specialises in motoring law, criminal & regulatory defence, and firearms licensing.
Before working for Cartwright King, Wright was at Nelsons until 2006.
He said: “Launching Wright Law has given me the opportunity and freedom to keep the focus on providing a quality and bespoke service to my clients, whilst providing excellent value for money.
“These are principles too often lost on larger law firms who are tempted to grow by diversifying, only to create more and greater logistical problems for themselves. It is important that we, as a community of defence lawyers do not forget the reasons why we set out in our chosen profession, and it’s really exciting to know that I can give every client instructing me the care and respect they deserve in protecting their rights.”
He added: “The support I have received in the legal community in the region, and particularly Nottingham has been fantastic, and I hope to see the local profession come through this turbulent period.”
