Plans revealed for flats scheme in former leather factory

How the scheme would look

Plans to turn a run down former leatherworks factory into 73 student flats have been submitted to Nottingham City Council.

The site, on Denman Street in the Radford area of Nottingham, is currently used as a lounge and snooker club called Hidden Spot.

Developer Sandy Kay wants to transform the site into a scheme desitned by BHB Architects.

A planning statement accompanying the planning application reads: “The existing factory building presents the best part of the site and there is an opportunity to conserve and retain this building as a key feature of the proposal.”

Nottingham City Council will assess the application over coming weeks.
