Ruddington firm keeps it in the family with new chairman

Jessica Mills

MHR International, the Ruddington HR, payroll and analytics firm has named Jessica Mills as its new chairman.

She takes over from her her father, the company’s founder John Mills, who remains group chairman of MHR Global Holdings and MHR Estates.

Jessica Mills joined MHR six years ago as a non-executive director, later becoming the board member responsible for HR. In 2017, she became Chairman of MHR’s analytics division, and, at the same time, vice chairman of MHR International UK.

She said: “Despite the challenges of the pandemic, we are committed to achieving our ambitious growth and product development plans, in order to support our customers now and in the future.

“This is a demanding but exciting time for me to take on the role of Chairman at MHR. We are completely committed to supporting our customers during this difficult time and have introduced support mechanisms for them to be able to continue to run their critical HR and payroll processes. This is in tandem with developing an exciting roadmap of innovative new services and products to support them in the future.

“While this is a new chapter for MHR in which I am honoured to be part of, our longstanding financially independent business model will remain, and we will continue to build on the successes of my father’s tenure.

“Our family’s investment in MHR is unwavering, so that everyone at MHR can look forward to further successes as we follow in the footsteps of my father’s outstanding chairmanship.”

“I’m delighted to announce Jessica as MHR’s new chairman as we go from strength to strength,” said John Mills. “The company will have a dynamic leader at its helm who I know will continue to drive forward our path to investment, growth and expansion, constantly striving for all-round excellence while holding to the values and customer-service ethic that have made us successful.”

Anton Roe, Chief Executive Officer at MHR International said: “This is an exciting time for us all at MHR as Jessica takes on the mantle of leadership from her father who founded the business in 1984 and continues to be involved in its success. I am looking forward to supporting Jessica in her new role as we continue to expand the business and pursue new opportunities.”
