Apartment plans revealed for historic pub

A former pub building on Albion Street in Leicester city centre could be turned into 38 flats after new plans were revealed by a developer.
Aimrok, which is the company behind the redevelopment of the former Fenwick department store and Wellington House in the city, has plans to partially demolish the former Black Boy pub and build a five-storey unit in its place. The Albion Street and Chatham Street facades would be retained.
In its place would come a building that would include 26 studio flats and 12 one-bedroom apartments.
The Black Boy pub was built in 1927. The new scheme is being designed by rg+p architects.
