Engineering consultancy restructures management team

Richard Law, left and with John Davison

Grimsby-based engineering firm, Technica, has restructured its leadership.

After a string of contract wins, Technica’s owner and current managing director, John Davison has assumed a newly created role of chairman and has appointed current director of business development, Richard Law, as managing director.

Davison said: “The next few years are going to be pivotal in the long-term future of Technica and this new role will allow me to take a much more strategic view of the business.”

He added: “Having worked with Richard for the past few years, I have every confidence in his ability to lead Technica and assist with further growing and diversifying our capabilities.”

Law added: “I am both honoured and motivated that John has selected me to lead his business at such a key stage. Working within this leadership team for four years, I am more than confident in their aptitude to drive the business forward.

“My initial focus is to continue to provide an excellent and safe service to our clients and then to push for the double-digit growth that we feel is achievable within the next 12 to 24 months.

“Everyone here at Technica is committed to serving our existing client base through the successful delivery of projects, alongside the development of new partnerships and penetration of new sectors such as renewable energy and industrial automation over the next five years. The future looks very bright for the business, and I’m determined to build on the many successes that John and the team have already accomplished.”
