Administrators launch appeal against Rams points deduction

Pride Park, home of Derby County

The administrators at Derby County have launched a formal appeal against the club’s 12-point deduction imposed on the club last month (September).

Quantuma was called into look after the day-to-day running of the Rams late last month. The move meant that the club deducted a dozen points, which leaves it adrift at the foot of the Championship.

A statement from the EFL said: “this matter has been referred to an independent Arbitration panel who will consider representations from both parties before making a determination.

“At this current time the club’s points total in the Championship table will remain unchanged.”
