Excitement is building for first-time Hot Property sponsor Pagabo

One company that is really looking forward to this year’s Hot Property event is Hull-based Pagabo. Pagabo is a national framework company that has close ties to the East Midlands property and construction industry, offering multiple compliant frameworks to make procurement quicker, simpler, and more effective for public sector organisations.
As one of the companies that is generously sponsoring Hot Property this year, we caught up with chief executive officer Simon Toplass ahead of the big night out.
“The team and I are extremely excited to attend Hot Property this year. It will be nice catching up with many colleagues we have worked with over the past few years and meeting many more too. Without forgetting the opportunity to let our hair down a little bit…
“The preparation goes to show what an incredible night Hot Property is year on year and definitely not something we want to be missing out on.
“I went to Hot Property for the first time in 2019 and was impressed by the talent out there in construction. It was a great crowd who gave lots of support for the acts, making for an extremely well executed event.
“We have a strong presence in both the East and West Midlands. Sponsoring the event keeps us in our framework ecosystem’s thoughts. It is about supporting the region in many ways – and this is just one of them. If additional opportunities come from it then great but the main purpose is to have a good time and do some ‘networking’ – something that a lot of us have missed throughout the last couple of years.”
Being able to sponsor an event like this is a significant opportunity for Pagabo, and something which Simon and all his work colleagues are extremely proud to be involved in. In terms of the charity, Simon told us he has not personally worked with the chosen charity, Young Lives vs Cancer, before. However, he has had experience with young people battling cancer, so it is a cause that is close to his heart and means a lot for him to support.
Obviously, this past year has had its own unique challenges with a pandemic to handle, but we wanted to find out how this has affected Simon and the rest of the team at Pagabo in particular. He told us: “We’re developing specific strategies around health and local authorities, which we are executing and are very excited about. It’s been tough for sure but has made us think harder about what we offer.” This shows how a negative situation can very successfully be turned on its head and become a positive situation for businesses and their employees.
Simon concluded: “With new additions to the team, being shortlisted for Business of the Year at Hull Live Business Awards, and our Civils and Infrastructure and Demolition and Land Preparation frameworks set to go live in quarter one of 2022, we’re quite busy. Therefore, we have unfortunately been unable to prepare an act for this year’s event. Having said that, we do have an amazing singer within our ranks, so keep your eyes and ears peeled because 2022 will be our year.”
