People: Agency team expands at surveyor; law firm adds experience
FHP Property Consultants has appointed Amy Howard to its agency team.
Howard is a Masters degree graduate from Nottingham Trent University and will work jointly in the office and industrial team and the retail and leisure team.
She said: “I am delighted to have started my real estate career at FHP who I always viewed as one of the leading property consultants within the East Midlands. After just completing a Master’s degree in Real Estate at Nottingham Trent University, I am excited to progress within the property industry and I am sure that my future at FHP is bright with such a great set of people to work with. I am looking forward to growing my knowledge and gaining experience throughout all agency sectors whilst also working in other departments in the hope of passing my Assessment of Professional Competence in the coming years.
“Initially, I will be dealing with the letting, sale and acquisition of properties in all sectors throughout Nottinghamshire and the East Midlands and after only a few days here, I’m already thoroughly enjoying my time and learning a lot already.”
Law firm Flint Bishop has reinforced its Wills, Probate, Tax and Trusts team with the appointment of senior associate Marc King to its Derby and Birmingham offices.
For almost 20 years, King has worked in this specialist area with leading firms in the North West and Midlands, with a particular emphasis on trusts, Inheritance Tax and business succession planning.
He said: “More of us have assets we want to protect and to pass on to those we care about than ever before. There are many traps in the system and my clients expect good clear advice so they may recognise and avoid them in the face of unprecedented threats and uncertainty. Such advice, which in the past was accessible only to the very wealthy, should be available to a far wider audience.”
