Derby County could face further points deduction next season – reports

Beleaguered Derby County could be in line for a further points deduction next season after the size of the offers to buy the club are causing concerns for creditors from administrators Quantuma.
The Rams, who have already been docked 21 points this season, could face another 15 point deduction next season, whatever division they end up in.
The deadline for Quantuma to meet with the EFL to get the green light for the takeover of the club is today (Monday February 28), but reports in The Sun say that the offers for the club are worrying as they are below the standard 25p in the pound to creditors. If the offers are rejected, then Derby County could be looking at a 15-point deduction next season.
Former Newcastle United owner Mike Ashley is thought to the frontrunner to take over the club.
The Rams lost at Luton Town on Saturday leaving them eight points adrift of safety, with just 12 games to play.
