High-end cocktail bar brand set to invest in Nottingham

Manhatta on Greek Street in Leeds

A high-end cocktail chain looks set to invest in Nottingham after submitting a licence application for a former prominent retail unit.

Arc Inspirations, the company behind the Manhatta brand, has applied to Nottingham City Council for a premises license for the 4,500 sq ft former French Connection store at 6 Victoria Street in the city centre.

French Connection moved out of Victoria Street in January 2020.

Arc Inspirations is based in Leeds and currently has 18 venues in the north of England. Its Manhatta bars are described as “a glamorous cocktail bar that brings the exciting unmistakable beat of New York to the UK”.

The firm was formed in 1999 by Martin Wolstencroft and Chris Ure. It initially catered for the student population in the Headingley area of Leeds, but has since expanded significantly.

Arc Inspirations have been contacted for comment.
