Long delays on the M1 in Derbyshire following multi-vehicle collision

Lanes 3 and 4 of the M1 (northbound) are closed in Derbyshire due to a multi-vehicle collision, National Highways says.

The incident occurred between J29 and J29a near Chesterfield.

National Highways are on the scene assisting with a fuel spillage.

There are currently delays of one hour and approximately 9 miles of congestion.

Road users are advised to allow extra time and consider alternative routes if possible.
