Games of Thrones star cuts ribbon on recycled fashion store
Game of Thrones actor Bella Ramsey has cut the ribbon on a new charity shop on Market Street in Leicester.
White Rose, which offers hand-picked pre-loved clothes for men, women and children, was established in 2009 by NTU graduates Grace Walker and Angie Ford.
It donates 100% of its profits to the Aegis Trust, which works to prevent genocide, crimes against humanity and mass atrocities worldwide.
The charity’s new store adds to its existing portfolio of twelve sites across Nottingham, Newark and Sheffield.
Local law firm Nelsons advised on the deal to bring White Rose across the East Midlands.
Ramsey, who was born in Nottingham and played Lyanna Mormont in the HBO fantasy series, said: “I’ve been to so many White Rose shops, I love them. I’ve purchased various things over the years. You can find some really great things and the shops are beautiful. Leicester is my city as well as Nottingham, so it’s great White Rose are here.”

Nelsons, which has offices in Leicester, Nottingham and Derby, acted on behalf of the tenant to finalise the lease agreement with its new landlord, SKL Property & Investments.
Liam Wilkinson, senior associate and solicitor at Nelsons, said: “It is great that the deal has been finalised so that James and the White Rose team can open the doors to their shop in the heart of Leicester.
