Revenue and profits up at transport software provider

Transport management software provider Microlise has seen its revenue and profits increase after gaining 60 new customers in the six months to 30 June.

The Nottingham-based firm saw its revenue jump to £30.7m – up from £29.1m during the same period last year – while its gross profits increased by 7% to £18.4m.

In a statement this morning (26 September) Microlise said its performance was boosted by new contracts with PD Ports, K+N Logistics, H&M Distribution, Europa Worldwide Logistics, renewals with Tesco and Asda in the UK and a 5-year extension with the Coles supermarket chain in Australia.

Microlise CEO Nadeem Raza said: “Despite market headwinds, our team has proved resilient and continued to deliver in the first half of the year. With the transport industry’s growing need for our technology and a solid and strengthening order book, we are confident of delivering a performance for the full year in line with market expectations.”
