Deloitte Midlands is set to bolster its M&A lead advisory team with an experienced manager and two new graduates following a successful six months which saw it complete eight major deals across a range of sectors including industrials, manufacturing and technology.

More than half of the transactions completed by the team involved overseas investors and buyers.

Deals sealed by Deloitte included Livingbridge’s investment in automotive retail software group CitNOW and the sale of geospatial mapping specialist GeoSLAM to US digital solutions group FARO Technologies.

The firm also provided advice on the sale of advertising technology business Blis Group to LDC.

Deloitte says its team’s performance was “exceptional” given the current climate of economic and geopolitical uncertainty.

Darren Boocock, partner and head of Deloitte Midlands M&A team, said: “We are delighted to have advised a range of fantastic clients to successfully complete important deals at a challenging time.

“Transactions invariably involve unexpected issues and clients look to experienced advisers, with an intimate knowledge of their sector, who can provide solutions and work closely with them to help deliver on their strategic objectives, whether that is value-enhancing acquisitions, raising funds to grow or more general planning for the future.”

He added: “The expansion of our M&A Lead Advisory team across the Midlands will allow us to continue to support our clients with their most critical and strategically important decisions and reaffirms our unwavering commitment to both Midlands’ economy and investment in future talent.”

Deloitte’s Midlands team is based in Nottingham and Birmingham.
