LLEP on the hunt for new CEO

Leicester and Leicestershire Enterprise Partnership (LLEP) has put out a call for a new CEO.

The LLEP Board is looking to recruit an “influential strategic leader” following Mandip Rai’s decision to step down earlier this year.

Sue Tilley has acted as interim head of the LLEP since Rai departed in March, but the organisation says it needs “a more permanent” leadership structure in light of uncertainty surrounding the county’s position in respect to regional devolution.

Anil Majithia, LLEP co-chair, said: “We are grateful to Sue for accepting additional leadership responsibilities earlier this year and her work with directors and officers in recent months as we continue to deliver projects on the priorities of our Economic Growth Strategy.

“However, it’s clear that it could be some time yet before a clear picture emerges on local devolution, therefore a more permanent LLEP leadership solution is required.”

The new CEO will report to the LLEP Board and be accountable to its co-chairs.
